
On December 14, 2025 local time, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman met with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Riyadh.
Mohammed bin Salman asked Wang Yi to convey King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's and his own sincere greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping, stating that Saudi leaders greatly cherish the profound friendship with President Xi Jinping and attach great importance to developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Saudi Arabia is willing to work with China to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level. Saudi Arabia consistently adheres to the one-China principle, firmly supports China in safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and resolutely opposes external interference in China's internal affairs. China is Saudi Arabia's largest trading partner, with two-way investment growing year by year. Saudi Arabia is willing to further deepen cooperation with China in areas such as oil and gas, new energy, artificial intelligence, and high and new technology, so as to bring more benefits to the people of both countries. Saudi Arabia supports China in hosting the second China-Arab States Summit and the second China-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit in 2026 and is willing to promote the early completion of the negotiations on the China-GCC Free Trade Agreement. Saudi Arabia highly appreciates China's just stance on Middle East issues and expresses gratitude for China's efforts in promoting the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Saudi Arabia is willing to maintain regular communication and coordination with China on international and multilateral affairs.

China welcomes Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman to visit China to attend the second China-Arab States Summit next year, and to jointly map out a blueprint for the development of China-Arab relations. China is ready to be the most trustworthy and reliable partner in Saudi Arabia's national rejuvenation process, strengthen all-round mutually beneficial cooperation with Saudi Arabia, consolidate traditional energy cooperation, expand cooperation in emerging and future industries, and open up new prospects for the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia.
