A: During the meeting, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi reiterated the position that the Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islands have been China's inherent territory since ancient times, and China has indisputable sovereignty over them. Yang also reaffirmed China's relevant positions on the East China Sea issue.
