On January 9, 2024, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration of Fiji Pio Tikoduadua.

Ma Zhaoxu said that China is willing to work with Fiji to strengthen political mutual trust, expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and take China-Fiji relations to a higher level.

Tikoduadua said that the Fijian government firmly adheres to the one-China principle and is committed to developing relations with China for the greater benefit of the Fijian people.
