On February 6, 2024, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo met with former President of the European Parliament and President of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Martin Schulz at the latter's request. The two sides had an exchange of views on China-Germany and China-EU relations as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.
