On August 29, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with new Mongolian Ambassador to China Nyamaa Enkhbold. The two sides had a friendly and in-depth exchange of views on China-Mongolia relations and issues of common interest and concern.
Liu Jinsong congratulated Nyamaa Enkhbold on his appointment, saying that China and Mongolia are important neighbors to each other. China attaches great importance to China-Mongolia relations and is ready to work with Mongolia to safeguard the political foundation of bilateral relations, deepen mutual trust, friendship and cooperation, and push forward China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership. Noting that Nyamaa Enkhbold is a veteran statesman in Mongolia and has served in important positions such as Vice-Chairman of Mongolia's State Great Hural, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence, Liu Jinsong said, he looks forward to Nyamaa Enkhbold playing an active role in the sound and stable development of China-Mongolia relations in his new post.
Nyamaa Enkhbold thanked China for its sincere assistance to Mongolia's economic and social development. He said, Mongolia will maintain the stability and continuity of its policy toward China, and he is ready to actively fulfill his duties and push for more results in bilateral relations.
