On September 13, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Foreign Ministry Sun Xiaobo held a new round of China-Pakistan consultations on arms control and non-proliferation with Director-General of the Arms Control and Disarmament of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Tahir Hussain Andrabi in Islamabad. Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Amna Baloch met with Sun Xiaobo and his delegation. The two sides had an exchange of views on the international and regional security situation, the global arms control and disarmament process, and other issues of common interest and concern and reached extensive consensus.
