On September 28, 2024 local time, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed at the UN headquarters in New York.

Miao Deyu congratulated on the success of the UN Summit of the Future and an ambitious Pact for the Future, and expressed China's willingness to actively participate in the implementation of the Pact for the Future, deepen cooperation with the UN, and continue to make contributions to improving global governance.

Amina J. Mohammed expressed her sincere gratitude to China for firmly upholding multilateralism and supporting the role of the UN. She looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Chinese side and jointly promoting the implementation of the Pact for the Future, so as to inject new impetus into the cause of global peace and development.
