On September 25, 2024 local time, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Policy Guy Bernard Ryder at the UN headquarters in New York.

Miao Deyu said that China congratulates on the success of the UN Summit of the Future and a Pact for the Future. China is willing to carry out closer cooperation with the UN on the implementation of the summit's outcomes to jointly make global governance more just and equitable.

Guy Bernard Ryder thanked China for its firm commitment to multilateralism and its support for the UN in organizing the Summit of the Future. He said the UN is ready to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly promote the implementation of the summit's outcomes.
