On March 28, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay.

Liu Bin said, China, as a founding member of CICA, places great importance on its development. Facing changes unseen in a century, China supports CICA in further enhancing dialogue and cooperation to better safeguard the security and development interests of its member states. China is ready to work with member states to uphold peaceful coexistence, promote the core Asian values of peace, cooperation, inclusiveness, and integration, advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, build an Asian community with a shared future, and expand new space for win-win development.

Kairat Sarybay made briefings on the latest progress and considerations regarding the development of CICA, expressing gratitude for China's contributions to its development. He noted that the Global Security Initiative put forth by President Xi Jinping is of great significance to enhancing global stability and certainty. CICA will continue to deliver on the major initiatives and proposals put forward by China and other member states, contributing to regional security and development.
