On April 24, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing attended and addressed the reception celebrating the 35th anniversary of Namibia's independence hosted by the Embassy of Namibia in China.

Xue Bing extended congratulations on the 35th anniversary of Namibia's independence and said that China and Namibia have a profound traditional friendship. In recent years, under the joint guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Namibia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has achieved new development. China is ready to make joint efforts with Namibia to implement the common understandings reached between the two heads of state, accelerate the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, facilitate each other's modernization process, and inject more stability and certainty into a changing and turbulent world.

Namibian Ambassador to China Elia George Kaiyamo spoke highly of bilateral relations and said that Namibia values its rock-solid traditional friendship with China and is willing to continue strengthening friendly cooperation with China within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, so as to continuously elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
