Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei Attends Chinese Imprints on World Currency Launch and Themed Seminar

On May 19, 2025, the Chinese Imprints on World Currency Launch and Themed Seminar was held in Beijing. Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei attended and addressed the event. Senior diplomats from more than ten countries, including the ambassadors to China of Cabo Verde, Algeria, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and Egypt, attended the event. Nearly 100 guests participated in the event, including Wang Haihuai, General Manager of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), Wu Shangzhi, President of the China Periodicals Association, as well as heads of relevant central enterprises.

Assistant Minister Hong Lei said that currencies of over 50 countries around the world feature projects built by Chinese enterprises, fully demonstrating that the achievements made by Chinese enterprises in participating in the Belt and Road cooperation are widely welcomed. This highlights that mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation represent the right way for countries to get along with each other. Building a community with a shared future for mankind is where the arc of history bends and public opinion trends, and represents the future and wellbeing of all the world's peoples. China is ready to work hand in hand with all countries to jointly practice the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind and the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing more to global peace, development, and prosperity.

General Manager Wang Haihuai shared the company's experience in participating in the Belt and Road cooperation, saying that CCCC will carry forward the Silk Road spirit and promote "hard connectivity" of infrastructure, "soft connectivity" of rules and standards, and "people-to-people bonds" among partner countries in a coordinated manner, to make new and greater contributions to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and global sustainable development.

The attending diplomatic envoys spoke positively of the Belt and Road Initiative and projects built by Chinese enterprises. They expressed strong recognition and support for the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind, and stated that their governments are willing to continue deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges and practical cooperation with China.
