On May 28, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with newly-appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to China Olexander Nechytaylo.

Liu Bin said that China is ready to promote the stable and long-term development of China-Ukraine relations based on mutual respect, mutual trust, and mutual benefit, and supports the settlement of the Ukraine crisis through political dialogue.

Olexander Nechytaylo said that Ukraine attaches importance to its relations with China, adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to deepen bilateral cooperation across various fields.
