On May 29, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended the event commemorating the 215th anniversary of Argentina's National Day and Army Day held by the Argentine Embassy in China and delivered a speech.
Miao Deyu stated that over the 53 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Argentina relations have undergone changes in the times and withstood the test of international circumstances, achieving high-level development. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China and Argentina have worked together to promote friendly cooperation and seek development and revitalization, which meets the common expectations of the two peoples and serves the fundamental and long-term interests of the two countries, and is of great significance for advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and creating a better world. China welcomes Argentina to make more contributions to deepening China-Latin America relations in the new era, jointly injecting more stability and positive energy into a world of intertwined changes and chaos.
Argentine Ambassador to China Marcelo Gabriel Suarez Salvia said that the Argentina-China relationship is solid and full of vitality. Argentina adheres to the one-China principle and is willing to strengthen exchanges at all levels with China on the basis of mutual respect, and work for more fruitful results in cooperation across various fields.
