On June 11, 2025, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong attended, upon invitation, the Independence Day reception hosted by the Embassy of the Philippines in China and had a brief meeting with Ambassador of the Philippines to China Jaime A. FlorCruz.

Note: During the reception, Director-General Liu Jinsong had a cordial conversation with Ms. Xu Xueleng, a retired expert from China National Radio who has long been dedicated to people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and the Philippines.
