On June 30, 2025, Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Xue Bing attended the reception for the 65th anniversary of Somalia's National Day and delivered a speech.

Xue Bing expressed congratulations on the 65th anniversary of Somalia's National Day, stating that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, China and Somalia have witnessed continuously deepening political mutual trust, steadily advancing practical cooperation, and constantly increasing people-to-people and cultural exchanges. China is ready to work with Somalia to follow the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state and jointly implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation for the greater benefit of the two peoples.

Ambassador of Somalia to China Dr. Hodan Osman Abdi highly praised the relationship between Somalia and China, stating that China has always been a trustworthy strategic partner for Somalia. She expressed gratitude for the valuable support China has provided for Somalia's development over the years. Somalia is willing to work with China to promote the implementation of the outcomes of the Summit, explore the potential for cooperation, and continuously enrich the strategic partnership between Somalia and China.
