On August 13, 2025, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs Liu Yuxi, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Chad in China to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Chad's Independence Day and delivered a speech.
Liu Yuxi congratulated Chad on the 65th anniversary of its independence, stating that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Chad relations have been elevated to a strategic partnership, with continuously deepening political mutual trust and fruitful cooperation in various fields. China is willing to work with Chad to implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, so as to better benefit the people of both countries.
Ambassador of Chad to China Saleh Chahaimi Abakar highly praised bilateral relations and thanked China for its support in Chad's development. He expressed Chad's firm support for the one-China principle, and stated that Chad is willing to continue consolidating traditional friendship with China, deepen practical cooperation, and promote the vigorous development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
