
From November 9 to 11, 2025, the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized diplomatic envoys from Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries in China to visit Guizhou. Ambassadors and diplomats from 17 countries, including Dominica, Cuba, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Venezuela, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Chile, participated in the visit.
Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Governor of Guizhou Province Li Bingjun met with the diplomatic envoys and stated that Guizhou Province is now fully implementing the guiding principles of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and striving to showcase a new image of Guizhou in the process of Chinese modernization. Guizhou Province is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with LAC countries across various fields, and support the implementation of the five programs for building a China-LAC community with a shared future.
During the visit, the diplomatic envoys toured such sites as the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center, Pingtang Bridge, Jinyuan Community, and Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. They highly praised Guizhou's achievements in infrastructure, digital economy, green development, social governance, and poverty alleviation, and expressed willingness to promote deeper exchanges and cooperation between their countries and Guizhou Province for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
