On February 2, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Viet Nam in China to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Viet Nam, and exchanged views with Ambassador of Viet Nam to China Pham Thanh Binh on bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.
