On March 11, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to China Petru Frunze.

Liu Bin welcomed Frunze to his new post in China, stating that China and Moldova are traditional friendly partners and their bilateral relations have maintained healthy and stable development. China is willing to continue cooperation and exchanges with Moldova in various fields based on mutual respect and equality for mutual benefit. It is hoped and believed that during Ambassador Frunze’s term, he will gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China and make positive contributions to deepening China-Moldova friendly relations and enhancing friendship between the two peoples.

Frunze stated that Moldova has always attached great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to work together with China to continuously achieve new results in bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields.
