On April 24, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Chairperson of Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Standing Committee of the House of Peoples’ Representatives of Ethiopia Dima Noggo Sarbo.

Miao Deyu stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Ethiopia has been developing in depth. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will further advance open and cooperative development, which will bring more opportunities for bilateral cooperation. China is ready to work with Ethiopia to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, strengthen strategic synergy, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and ensure the steady and long-term development of the China-Ethiopia all-weather strategic partnership.
