On May 7, 2026, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for East China Sea and Yellow Sea Affairs Guo Yan and Director-General for International Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Lee Seok-joo co-chaired the 15th round of talks of the China-ROK working group for negotiations on maritime delimitation in Chengdu, China. The two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on issues related to maritime delimitation and agreed to hold the 16th round of talks of the working group at an appropriate time.
