On October 21, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry Hong Lei accepted respectively the copies of credentials presented by newly-appointed Ambassador of Ecuador to China Luis Alberto Jaramillo and newly-appointed Ambassador of Oman to China Anwar Muqaibal. The two ambassadors arrived in China on September 22 and September 24 respectively.
