On April 22, 2023, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei invited several Chinese Muslims in Kuwait to the Eid al-Fitr celebration at the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Zhang extended his festive greetings and wishes to the Chinese Muslim guests. He appreciated their positive and unique role in fostering exchanges between China and Kuwait and expected them to tell China’s stories well, make China’s voice heard and protect China’s image. He also hoped that they will act to promote the fine traditional Chinese culture and the public image of Chinese people. The Chinese Embassy in Kuwait will give, as always, love and care to all Chinese Muslims in Kuwait and provide them with support as much as possible, he observed. 

The Chinese Muslim guests said such celebration brought them the caring solicitude of the Party and government. They were grateful for the constant care and support from the Chinese Embassy, saying that they felt proud of the motherland’s progress and development and would make efforts to give local people a deeper understanding of China and help advance bilateral relations.

Following the talks, Ambassador Zhang offered the Muslim guests Eid gifts and gave an interview with local media together with them.
