Ambassador Xie Feng Mourned the Passing of Dr. Henry Kissinger

On December 1, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng went to the U.S. Department of State to mourn the passing of former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger.

Ambassador Xie signed the condolence book and spoke briefly with Acting Chief of Protocol Ethan Rosenzweig to extend his deepest condolences and sympathies. Ambassador Xie said that Dr. Kissinger was a world-renowned diplomat and strategist, and a pioneer and advocate of China-U.S. relations. Having made historic contributions to the normalization of China-U.S. relations, he took it as his lifelong mission to promote China-U.S. relations and increase friendship between the two peoples. His name will be associated with China-U.S. relations forever. He will be remembered and honored by the Chinese people as a long-standing and good friend forever.
