On January 18th, 2024, H.E. Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, met with members of 2024 Executive Committee of Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) led by President Nurul Islam Hasib and General Secretary Ashiqur Rahman Apu.

Ambassador Yao congratulated the new executive committee on its successful election and assumption to office. Recalling cooperation records between the Embassy and DCAB, Ambassador Yao appreciated DCAB for its contribution to the promotion of China-Bangladesh relations and mutual understandings between the two peoples. He encouraged DCAB to strengthen ties with Chinese enterprises and media in Bangladesh, and continue to spread to the Bangladeshi people the story of friendly cooperation between China and Bangladesh.

The two sides also exchanged views on current international and regional situation, China-Bangladesh relations, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and media cooperation.
