On June 26, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, H.E. Chen Chuandong, met with His Excellency Yousef Al-Shamall, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supplyt of Jordan. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on promoting China-Jordan economic and trade cooperation.

Ambassador Chen said that despite the impact of the ongoing conflict in Gaza on trade and logistics, bilateral trade between China and Jordan remains robust. China is ready to further expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Jordan in economic, trade, and other sectors, enhancing trade facilitation levels. China wishes to import more distinctive Jordanian products, improving people’s livelihoods through trade.

Minister Al-Shamall highlighted the fact that China is Jordan's second-largest trading partner. Chinese products offer Jordanian consumers a wide range of choices and are known for their reliable quality. Jordan is keen to strengthen cooperation with China, expanding trade in volume and categories through partnerships with chambers of commerce and taking advantage of trade fairs.
