Ambassador Xu Feihong delivered a speech, saying that 86 years ago, Dr. Kotnis went to China during the most difficult time for the Chinese people to support the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and dedicated his best years and selfless love to China. We will always remember his heroic name and deeds. We have done and will continue to do things for the development of Dr. Kotnis’ hometown. Only by strengthening the exchanges between the young people of China and India, can the seeds of our friendship take roots and blossom. I believe that the China-India relationship will definitely move forward along the sound and stable track. This must also be what Dr. Kotnis wished to see.
The Indian friends present at the event said that Dr. Kotnis is an excellent son of the Indian people, and a significant symbol of India-China friendship. We would like to carry forward the spirit of Dr. Kotnis to promote the development of India-China relations. We are touched by the visit of the Chinese ambassador. Representatives of the students expressed their gratitude to the Chinese side for helping to improve the school facilities and bringing warmth and happiness to them.
