On July 12, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, H.E. Yang Xiaoguang presented the copy of the letter of credence to the Acting Chief of Protocol of PNG, Ms. Bagara Peter.
Ambassador Yang said that it was a great honor to be appointed by President Xi Jinping as the new Chinese Ambassador to PNG. I would like to thank the PNG side for the facilitation for my arrival in PNG, which fully reflects the close friendly and cooperative relations between China and PNG. Guided by the implementation of the important consensus reached by the leaders of our two countries, I look forward to working with all PNG friends to elevate our exchanges and cooperation in various fields and enhance the China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership to a new height.
Ms. Peter extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Yang. She stressed that PNG attaches great importance to its relations with China, and PNG Department of Foreign Affairs will provide full support and facilitation to Ambassador Yang during his term in PNG.
