Chinese Consul General in Auckland Chen Shijie Attends the Belt and Road Choral Concert

On July 12, Consul General Chen Shijie attended the World Choir Events in the Belt and Road “Night of the Dragon”concert and delivered remarks. President of the World Choral Council Gunter Titsch and First Vice President and Director of Asia China Wang Qin attended the event along with several hundred audience.

In his remarks, Consul General Chen extended warm congratulations on the successful holding of the concert, and introduced the achievements of bilateral cooperation in various fields over the past decade since the establishment of China-New Zealand comprehensive strategic partnership and the fruitful results of Premier Li Qiang's recent visit to New Zealand. He stressed that harmony is the common feature of traditional Chinese culture and the multi-cultural mosaic of New Zealand,calling on the contestants to play the role of culture  explorer , friendship  promoter  and exchange practitioner.

The wonderful performance of the Guangzhou Little Petrel Children's Choir, Hangzhou Qianjiang Stars Children's Choir and Hong Kong Diocesan Boys' College Choir won the audience's applause and cheers.
