On July 23rd, Ms. YAN Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas met with Mr. Stephen Hunt, Managing Editor of The Tribune, the largest newspaper in The Bahamas at the Chinese Embassy. Ms. Yan handed over news reporting equipment donated by the Chinese Embassy to support The Tribune's on-site coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ms. Yan also introduced the main outcome of the recently-concluded Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the positive efforts made by the Chinese media in supporting the Paris 2024 Olympics including by providing for the first time the global audience with the 8K public signal at summer Olympics, and encouraged strengthening the media-to-media exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
