On August 7 and 8 2024, Ms. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas paid respective courtesy calls on the Hon. Mr. Alfred Sears, Minister of Immigration and National Insurance of The Bahamas, and the Hon. Mr. Wayne Munroe, Minister of National Security of The Bahamas.

Ms. Yan briefed China's progress in the implementation of the Global Security Initiative, as well as the important reform measures put forward by the just-concluded Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. The two sides discussed ways to deepen exchanges and cooperation in pertinent areas to enrich China-Bahamas relations.
