Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Pays Courtesy Calls on Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs Clay Sweeting, Minister of Education Glenys Hanna-Martin

On August 8 2024, Ms. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas paid respective courtesy calls on the Hon. Mr. Clay Sweeting, Minister of Works and Family Island Affairs of The Bahamas, and the Hon. Ms. Glenys Hanna-Martin, Minister of Education of The Bahamas.

Ms. Yan briefed the recently-concluded Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), focusing on measures put forward by the Session to improve systems and mechanisms of high-level opening up and to coordinate reform of education, sci-tech and talents. Both sides positively assessed the positive momentum of China-Bahamas relations in recent years, agreeing to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields while continuously tapping the potential of win-win cooperation to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
