On 5 September2024, the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane held the “Conversation with Dr Consul-General” and the Ceremony of 2023 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze awarded certificatesto the winners，presented thank-you letters tothe supervisors and delivered a speech. Deputy Consul-General Ms LI Suyunpresided over the event.

Dr RUAN extendedcongratulations to the award-wining students and their supervisors, and wished everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival. He believed that Chinese students could be bridges and bonds between China and Australia and the two peoples. He wished that the bilateral friendship and collaboration in education will continue to thrive.
