He stressed the long-term positive trajectory of Chinese economy and the broad prospect for China-Sri Lanka economic and trade cooperation. He refuted the fallacy of so-called Chinese "Debt Traps", emphasizing that the closer the relationship between the two countries, the more beneficial it is to Sri Lanka's development, and the more capable Sri Lanka is to resist external risks. Media professionals from both sides are highly expected to keep playing an important role in promoting bilateral interactions and people-to-people exchanges.

Minister Counselor Zhu Yanwei and Counselor Tang Yandi respectively introduced the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and China-Sri Lanka economic and trade cooperation as well as assistance to Sri Lanka.
