On September 16, 2024, Ambassador Zhao Weiping published an article titled "Twinning for Development: Close Partners to Achieve Modernisation" in the Namibian Sun.

In the article, Ambassador Zhao touched on the Ten Partnership Actions for modernisation with Africa and major measures supporting China-Africa cooperation, as announced by President Xi Jinping during his keynote address at the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. Ambassador Zhao emphasized that the summit sent a clear message of mutual support between China and Africa in their modernisation efforts, and will have great significance for building an All-Weather China-Africa Community with a Shared Future for the New Era. During the summit, the Presidents of China and Namibia held a successful bilateral meeting, where they reached important consensus on further pushing forward China-Namibia Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Ambassador Zhao expressed confidence that China-Namibia cooperation will be vigorously deepened in extensive areas and bring more tangible benefits to our two peoples.
