Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Attends Opening Ceremony of Training Course on Hotel Management

On 19 September, 2024, the opening ceremony of Overseas  Training Course on Operation and Management of Small Boutique Hotel in the Bahamas was held in Nassau. Ambassador Yan Jiarong, Chen Runyun, Vice President of Academy for International Business Officials, MOFCOM, P.R.China and Pinder, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Aviation (MOTIA) of the Bahamas attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

Yan said that with the deepening of Chinese-style modernization, tourism has become more and more daily consumption of the Chinese people, and the Caribbean has the potential to become one of the main destinations for outbound travel of the Chinese people. Tourism is an important channel for different countries and cultures to exchange and learn from each other, as well as an important bridge to enhance friendship. China is willing to work together with The Bahamas further unleashing the potential of tourism cooperation for the benefit of two peoples.

Chen introduced China's efforts in helping Global South countries strengthen their capacity building, stressed that China is rich in tourism and cultural resources, and also it is the world's largest source country for outbound tourism, and looking forward to enhancing the Bahamas’ understanding of China's tourism market and boosting tourism cooperation between the two sides.
