Chinese Consul General in San Francisco Zhang Jianmin Attends a Series of Events Held by the Northern California Chinese Community to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

On September 21 and 22, 2024, Chinese Consul General Zhang Jianmin attended a series of events in San Francisco organized by the Northern California Chinese community to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, including flag-raising ceremony, parade, gala dinner, and cultural performance.

Consul General Zhang extended greetings to the overseas Chinese community and highlighted the achievements made since the founding of the People's Republic of China 75 years ago and introduced the guiding principle from the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He also elaborated on China’s principled stance on China-U.S. relations and the Taiwan question, and expressed appreciation of the leading role of California and San Francisco in promoting China-U.S. friendship. He encouraged the overseas Chinese community to actively contribute to the growth and development of China-U.S. relations. 

During the cultural performance, Consul General Zhang and his wife Zheng Xin were invited to join the chorus on stage amidst lively atmosphere.
