Chinese Consulate General in Brisbane Successfully Holds the Reception in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

On 26 September 2024, the Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane successfully held the Reception in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. Consul General Dr Ruan Zongze, Hon Cameron Dick, Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment of Queensland, and Hon Adrian Schrinner, Lord Mayor of Brisbane attended and delivered speeches. Deputy Consul -General Ms Li Suyun presided over the event.

Dr Ruan introduced the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC and stated that the Communist Party of China has led the Chinese people in forging ahead with enterprise and fortitude. Chinese modernization will bring new and vast opportunities for China-Australia, China-Queensland cooperation and development. The Chinese Consulate-General will actively practice the concept of "diplomacy for the people" and make new contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Deputy Premier Dick and Lord Mayor of Brisbane extended their congratulations on the 75th Anniversary, stated that Queensland and China has close economic and trade relations, as well as sister cities relationship. The Chinese community is the cornerstone of the relationship. They are willing to continue working towards cooperation and developing friendly relations with China.

Over 400 representatives from various sectors of Queensland and staff from the Consulate-General participated in the event. The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
