On 19 October 2024, Her Excellency Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Yan Jiarong attended The International Culture Wine &Food Festival (ICWFF) and made remarks on behalf of the foreign embassies and international organizations present at the event. The Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin, on behalf of Foreign Minister attended the event and delivered a speech.

Ambassador Yan highlighted in her remarks that the ICWFF, with a history of 30 years, provides a platform for showcasing and tasting a variety of food. She emphasized that food serves as a bridge for international cultural exchanges and vividly reflects development of different countries. The Chinese Embassy along with the foreign diplomatic missions in The Bahamas, will continue to support the success of the ICWFF in promoting people-to-people friendship and cultural exchanges.

The Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas held a charity sale at the event, where homemade food and exquisite handicrafts attracted many Bahamian visitors to stop by, taste, and purchase.
