Chinese Consul General in Belfast Li Nan Visits Ards and North Down

On 31 October, Consul General Li Nan visited Ards and North Down Borough Council and met with Mayor Cllr. Alistair Cathcart and CEO Susie McCullough. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between China and Ards and North Down.

The Consul General noted that Ards and North Down is an important city in Northern Ireland with a vibrant momentum for development in areas of agricultural product processing industry, tourism and New energy. We welcome Ards and North Down enterprises to play an active part in the Chinese modernization process and benefit from China’s development opportunities. The Consulate General will continue to play a bridging role to broaden cooperation areas and expand friendly exchanges to achieve mutual benefit.

The Mayor warmly welcomed the Consul General, introduced the city’s history and development in recent years, and expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation in various fields with China, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
