Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Special Assistant on Youth Development to Senate President

On November 1, 2024, H.E. Yu Dunhai, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, met with Emmanuel Amama, the Special Assistant on Youth Development to the President of the Senate in Nigeria.

Ambassador Yu said the youth represent the future and hope of a nation, and serve as a vital force and the backbone of social and economic development. Nigeria has a large young population which is optimistic and resilient, bringing immense growth potential to Nigeria. Over the years, China has provided numerous training opportunities for Nigerian youth through multiple training channels. We are willing to work alongside Nigeria to implement the consensus reached by our two heads of state and the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on youth and education, and to consolidate the traditional friendship between our two countries.

Emmanuel Amama said Nigeria appreciates China’s support and is willing to further deepen cooperation with China on youth development. Nigeria looks forward to more projects and opportunities from China to strengthen capacity building for Nigerian youth, in order to foster more young talent and contribute to Nigeria’s social and economic development.
