On November 5, Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Zhang Lizhong attended the opening ceremony of the Sixth China-Africa Forum of Law School Deans held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. More than 50 law school deans and teachers and students from more than 20 universities in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and China attended the forum.
Ambassador Zhang introduced the great significance of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, especially the "Ten Partnership Actions" proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and the content of strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the judicial, law enforcement and legislative fields, which is explicitly proposed in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Action Plan (2025-2027) . Ambassador Zhang expressed the hope that this Forum will play an active role in providing legal guarantees and talent support for the steady and long-term development of China-Africa cooperation.
Prof Henry Alinaitwe, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Makerere Unive, spoke highly of the fruitful results achieved in the previous five China-Africa Deans' Forums, thanked China for its support to Africa's development in the fields of cultural exchanges and the rule of law, and expressed the hope to take this forum as an opportunity to continuously deepen China-Africa cooperation and exchanges in the fields of rule of law and so on.
