On November 8, 2024, Chinese Ambassador Fei Mingxing accompanied FAO Director-General Dr. Qu Dongyu and his delegation to visit the demonstration farm of Samoa-China Agricultural Technical Aid Project(SCATAP). Samoan offcials and the Chinese expert team warmly welcomed the visitors.

Dr. Qu went into the field to learn about the vegetable, fruit, livestock and juncao. He commended the Chinese agricultural experts and encouraged them to make greater contributions to the development of Samoan agriculture. Ambassador Fei acknowledged the significance of the visit by Dr. Qu, hoped that the expert team will continue its efforts for the sustainable agriculture in Samoa, and pledged China is willing to actively explore triangular cooperation with FAO and Samoa.
