On December 9, the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan held an award ceremony for the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” in the auditorium of Kabul University, attended by Ambassador Zhao Xing, Kabul University Chancellor Aziz, officials from the Ministry of Higher Education of the interim government of Afghanistan, professor and student representatives from the university.
Ambassador Zhao Xing congratulated the 60 award-winning students and encouraged them to study hard, enhance their skills and become builders and contributors to the friendship between China and Afghanistan. Next year will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, and China is willing to join hands with Afghanistan to carry on the friendship, strive for common development and help Afghanistan to cultivate more talents.
Chancellor Aziz and officials from the Ministry of Higher Education thanked China for its long-term support for education in Afghanistan and expressed willingness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education. The award-winning students thanked China for their care and help, and aspired to succeed in their studies and contribute to national construction and bilateral friendship.
