On September 19, 2024, Consul General Guo Shaochun and his wife Madam Wang Wei hosted a reception celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over 600 guests from various sectors including local officials, the consular corps in Los Angeles, Chinese communities, students, and representatives of Chinese enterprises, participated in the event.

Consul General Guo stressed the historic achievements of the CPC and the nation over the past 75 years. He highlighted that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China sent out a strong and clear message, that China will never stop in its pursuit of reform and opening-up. And China is ready to work with all countries to transform its new accomplishments in modernization into new opportunities for global development. The Consulate General will work with all the friends and spare no effort to enhance sub-national cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, promote the sound, stable and sustainable development of China-US relationship.

The guests speak highly of the extraordinary economic and social achievements of China and express their willingness to continue actively promote cooperation between China and the U.S. in various fields, as well as their best wish for the improvement of China-U.S. relations to bring more well-beings to our two peoples.
