On October 11, 2024, Chinese Consul General in Penang H. E. Mr. Zhou Youbin met with Dr. Zaliman, Vice Chancellor of UniMAP and his delegation.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Zaliman introduced UniMAP school-running characteristics, preponderant major courses, cooperation with Chinese universities, and participation of teaching staffs in Chinese training programs. He hopes to strengthen the ties with Chinese universities and enterprises so as to expand student-internship and employment channels, as well as to attract more Chinese students to study in UniMAP.

Consul General Mr. Zhou expressed his gratitude to the university for its support for China-Malaysia educational exchanges, and expressed that Consulate General is willing to continue to keep in touch with UniMAP, to further deepen China-Malaysia cooperation in educational field.
