On October 14, the Chinese Embassy in PNG held a handover reception for the Chinese Medical Teams to PNG. H.E. Yang Xiaoguang, Chinese Ambassador to PNG, H.E. Sir Bob Dadae, Governor General of PNG, and Mr. Pan Jianbo, Deputy Director General of Chongqing Municipal Health Commission attended the reception and delivered speeches. Minister for Health and other PNG senior officials, as well as about 100 representatives from Port Moresby General Hospital, the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission delegation and all members of the 13th and 14th Chinese Medical Teams, Chinese companies, Chinese communities in PNG attended the reception.
Ambassador Yang Xiaoguang thanked the Chongqing Municipal Government for its strong support, highly appreciated the work of the 13th Chinese Medical Team, and warmly welcomed the arrival of the 14th Chinese Medical Team. Ambassador Yang introduced the great significance of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and expressed his willingness to work with PNG to continuously improve and upgrade the China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership.
Governor Dadae thanked the Chinese government for providing sincere help to improve PNG's medical and health care level and the well-being of its people. He said that PNG will firmly adhere to the one-China policy, actively promote bilateral cooperation and work with China to jointly create a better future.
