On November 12th, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding met with Zimbabwean Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Monica Mutsvangwa. The two sides exchanged views on further promoting cooperation in women affairs and livelihood improvement.

Ambassador Zhou introduced the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and stressed that China supports Zimbabwe’s efforts in women affairs and livelihood improvement. The Chinese side stands ready to strengthen cooperation with the Zimbabwean side to implement more “small but beautiful” public welfare projects, and assist in  women empowerment and development of local community and small and medium enterprises.

Mutsvangwa appreciated China’s long-standing and precious support. She hoped the two sides could share experience and strengthen cooperation in women empowerment, community infrastructure building as well as market expansion and introduction of advanced technologies for small and medium enterprises.
