On 25 December 2024, Her Excellency Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Yan Jiarong attended the Junkanoo Parade which is a well-known cultural tradition. She talked briefly with H.E. the Most Hon. Governor General Cynthia Pratt, the Hon. Prime Minister Philip Davis, the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister Chester Cooper, the Hon. Leader of Opposition Michael Pintard. Ambassador Yan interacted with the host of the ceremony and extended festive greetings to the audience, highlighting the profound friendship between China and The Bahamas. The Chinese Ambassador also received live interview with ZNS Network.

The “Junkanoo” Parade, with a history spanning nearly 200 years, is one of the most unique festivals in the Caribbean and the most renowned national cultural celebration in The Bahamas.
