Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Pays a Visit to Prime Minister Philip Davis to Extend New Year Greetings

On 31 December 2024, Her Excellency Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Yan Jiarong, paid a visit to H.E. the Honourable Prime Minister Philip Davis.

Ambassador Yan conveyed New Year greetings from the Chinese leadership to Prime Minister Davis and extended New Year's greetings to the Prime Minister and the people of The Bahamas. The Prime Minister invited the Chinese Ambassador to convey his best wishes for the new year to the Chinese leadership and the Chinese people.

Ambassador Yan introduced her work over the past six months since her arrival, highlighting new achievements and bright spots in economic and trade cooperation, local cooperation, people-to-people exchange, etc, between China and The Bahamas. She expressed China's readiness to further align development strategies with The Bahamas for the benefit of both peoples. Prime Minister Davis highly appreciated Ambassador Yan’s extensive and fruitful work since her arrival, including promoting The Bahamas-China relations and presenting a true, comprehensive China to the Bahamian people. He emphasized The Bahamas's commitment to developing ties with China, looking forward to expanding and deepening comprehensive cooperation, and pushing bilateral relations to a new level in the new year.
